The Car Shopping Round (Round 64): Tears in Heaven

for some reason the front reminds of of a 300zx

@koolkei About converting cu. in. to Liters, simply divide the cu by 61

Examples:
305ci / 61 = 5.0L
427ci / 61 = 7.0L
351ci / 61 = 5.754L (thus why Ford rounded up to 5.8)
350ci / 61 = 5.738L
455ci / 61 = 7.459L
400ci / 61 = 6.557L
289ci / 61 = 4.738L

And use it the reverse way to convert back to cu (just remember most of the time the stated displacement IE: Ford’s modular 4.6 is a rounded number)

4.6L * 61 = 280.6ci
4.3L * 61 = 262.3ci
3.8L * 61 = 231.8ci

@koolkei thanks now i cant sleep early because i literally spending hours figuring what kind of magic you use in that sedan you bastard

We were having the same discussion on the Discord

And because GM and Chrysler both had 350 CI engines that are both now known as a 5.7L. So, in the name of marketing, Ford’s 351 was rounded to 5.8L so that it was still bigger than the others.

Okay, time to set the scene. It’s the year 2000, the dawn of the new century. Somehow the Democratic Socialist Republic of Anikatia has survived into this new age. But not with losing its ideological convictions following the Chinese model. But in doing so the regime fell into the trap of capitalism and was deeply affected by the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis. By 2000 the socialist government was in its death throes as it faced the financial collapse of its local currency the Anikuro. The ensuing chaos led to the fall of the socialist government and return of democratic elections in 2001. But we’re getting ahead of us selves, for now in the year 2000, the DSRA appeared to be surviving as it had done since 1951.

Where is it +20? Last I checked it was 10…

Also lol koolkei’s stats I’m so done with this round. Object lesson: newer Tech is more expensive than older Tech in newer cars. Soon I’ll be getting you all to teach me how to Play this Game!

Huzzah I’m no longer the cheapest car!

I haven’t quite figured out where I’m comfortable with as far as quantity vs. quality. That’s why I’m leaving it to your judgement. The best car may be too expensive, but the cheapest car may be total crap, that’s where a good balance is key.

yet again, am blind.

my car i sent is now about $700 more expensive than it should be damnit

can someone make a sub 10k with 10 percent markup

Typical government contractor, gouging the tax payer money with your inflated profit margin.

Also @lordvader1 sub $10,000 is possible, but it won’t be pretty, I could probably get mine there with a galvanized chassis and a 2ish liter 4 cylinder. But it would be a metermaid car more than a patrol car.

-15 on body and chassis.
1 liter 3 cylinder and there you go

My entry was 12400 or so, cheap enough to sell 20 cars, and it had no negative quality sliders, full assists, automatic slushbox, Progressive springs, advanced safety, and a few other non bare bones options and a scattering of +1 & 2 sliders. Shaving 3 grand off wouldn’t be that hard.

Luckily for you, I’m not submitting this one :stuck_out_tongue:
I’m going for something that’s more unique, and that happens to fit perfectly into my company lore

Welp I just realised that my wildcard supercar entry won’t work due to the 4 dooors rule. I thought it was a 4 seat restriction not a door restriction.

My minivan is still on contention…
