i thought you guys know that already…
steel is just nonsensical after partial alu comes out.
same story with AHS… except you’re SUPER strapped on cash. than plain steel maybe a choice
Stories of my prowess with car building are vastly exaggerated: I know how to make a car fast on any given budget, but with all the changes within the last year, I don’t know how to make it best suited for any particular purpose other than that, because my car building activities have been actually very restricted.
well i’ve always seen it as your speciality, not really prowess overall
but since you’re an old member, even with the new changes, i felt like you should have a better than average grasp of the overall game…
or at least that’s what i thought
Note to self: Partial Alu is now actually useful. Stop using CR Steel.
I’ll tell you what I’m best at:
- Turbos
- Juggling VVT-L and ignition timing
- suspension tuning
- aero setup
Probably people who have been playing the game with a lot of variety since about a year ago when a lot of the material assignments and balancing changed will have a better overall grasp of the game. I already couldn’t get easy results with the BRC because I didn’t spend enough time trying to understand the strategy. I only enter about 1/4 of the CSR rounds due to time constraints, so as disconcerting as it is, it’s actually surprising that I can make the shortlist just about every time I do enter, except of course if I happen to say screw the brief and do my own thing
This ‘advice’ is clearly a distraction from him modding in whack bodies with infinite aerodynamics and almost no building cost then stunting on us
Phale would never do that! I’ve witnessed the magic for myself, and while there’s definitely something to selecting the advantageous body, there’s more to it than that
Man, there is so many intricacies, I went with CR Steel since I wanted no sacrifice to safety but Partial Alu has the cost advantage.
Well, of course he is the Wizard of Automation, since he keeps winning the every second round but gosh darn he is good.
I find building the engine first then pick through bodies that fit the use to be a good approach, or to constantly be making cars in different eras, then modifying them for use.
Well thanks to having an hour or so to get my ass into gear, I’ve figured out koolkei’s magic, at least. Heh heh heh. I’m coming for you lot!!!
I’ll have a spike strip waiting 300 feet from the finish line for you.
meanwhile I’ll never make it to the finish line
well… i’m only good at VVTL tuning, engine sizing, and making light cars overall though…
which is why i totally suck at making race cars
btw what if I told you my car’s got 70 less hp than yours but will absolutely destroy it around the track. That being said how did you get the car so reliable, I’m not even close even if I took out all the safety equipment, the seats and the cassette player.
oh no doubt i’d believe you had already proved that to me in the past
+3 on the chassis
+3 on the fixture
+don’t remember how much on the transmission
+1 on the basic interior
i think that’s all?
Are we allowed to switch or revise entries?
yes. don’t do it too much though. like only once, or if the race master is kind enough, maybe twice at best
Really? Anyway, to me seems unfair. But feel free to do whatever you want
unfair how though?
i usually wait until near the end of the deadline to see someone’s car to make out a baseline/comparison.
it’s not much different from revising your car after you saw your competitor’s. imo.
if you publish your stats here, it’s your risk. and besides, even if you do what i do, it doesn’t ensures a victory anyway.
usually you’ll get beaten by those who doesn’t publish their cars
