Iām currently only 2/3 of a lawyer. @ramthecowy just pay a royalty and save us all the trouble.

minimum weight is 1150kg, so 2535.3lbs. Yours falls below the minimum weight requirement.
thanks for pointing that out
As it is possible to get rather good driveability even with turbo, i would say the latter. But as always, sensibility and balance is king. I know its possible to get at least 450 - 500 hp and decent driveability. But then again, youād have the problem with lousy economy and shredded tires.
Errrr, I hope you knew this aswell
damn it. back to the drawing board. God I need sleep
Sticking an R32 GT-R front fascia on the not-MX-5 body and adding the wheel arch flares and whale tail from a 964 Turbo for good measureā¦ It shouldnāt work, but it does - and how!
Oh myā¦ Porsche, Nissan and Mazda 3some= this.
So, you need a race-car thatās built from some form of street car. And it needs to be fast.
Sounds like you need a 1989 Dynamite Nitro.
Itās not pretty, but it carries the might of the 80ās in a TURBOCHARGED inline six.
That powerful engine is fed to all four wheels, for optimal delivery of Victory!
Itās light-ish, at just a little under 1200 kg, more than suitable for your race regulations. And weāre sure you can find some stuff to remove from it to make it lighter still.
So, what features does it have other than a turbocharged inline 6 and AWD? Well, the engine is really, really quite simple. We decided, why use a complicated and expensive DOHC or SOHC multi-valve system? Why use pushrods with all those complex little parts and fiddly bits? Just stick the cam on top of the valves, itāll do just fine. Sure, you only get 2 valves per cylinder, but engines have run with twin-valves for quite some time. Plus, literally any goof-off with a wrench can fix this thing.
Oh, and itās cheap. Like, really, really cheap. Before any markups, weāre talking $12,100. Sure, itās not the fastest thing in the world, but weāre sure you can figure something out.
Iām going to do my usual, and ādumb questionā you (second time). What number is ācomfortableā?
Your car is fitted with aluminum panels, which are listed as ālimited productionā in 1994, whereas partial aluminum is not. And since limited production components cannot be used in this round, I suggest a revision to remain eligible.
Damn Iām at 2:15 and 129.97 Engineering points, but I didnāt include catsā¦ heck. Time to tweak, when are final rules set in stone? (Why does a track only car need cats) and while weāre on the topic of exhaust, Mine doesnāt have one. Should it?
edit:
Hmm, shave .15 seconds off my track time, despite losing 5 hp to the car, by fooling around with the brakes, squeezed down from 130.4 to 130.1ā¦ gah.
What all speeds are your guys getting through āThe Slingshotā ? Torrent enters at 240 kph and leaves at 220.
Roughly about 230 kph and leaves at 215-ish. But mineās a wildcard entry, so donāt assume mineās too competitive. I built mine to be really cheap.
Mineās sort of on the cheap too, and with an engine outside the liked setup. I donāt expect to win, this is just my first time in and I want to get a feel for how the rounds work. :3
