2018 PILATI INVICTA PERFECTIONE

Producing 816BHP from a turbocharged 6.5 liter V12 engine, the epic Invicta returns to it’s former glory

The enjoyers asked for a back to basics, raw driving experience, so this is what we have given them. No traction control, a twin double wishbone setup, and a 6 speed manual transmission make for one of the most involving supercar experiences

With the design, we have taken deep inspiration from the 1st and 2nd generation models as well as some new design cues. For example, the front is a triangular take on the 1st generation, whist the rear is a modern rendition of the 2nd generation. We have also made the front more aggressive, to reflect the engineering approach we made with the car

Even with these back to basics approaches, we made the car as comfortable as possible without harming performance. This is no Bentley Continetal, but the adaptive dampers should make for a smoother ride over the bumps. An infotainment system is included, with a 2+2 seating layout. The car keeps an impressive 1151 kg.

If the “Perfectione” isn’t fast enough for you, then the “Assoluto” and “U L S A” (Ultra Light Sport Auto) models are available. The “Assoluto” and “U L S A” models look identical, but there are major differences under the hood. The “Assoluto” is the raw driving experience. The six speed manual is retained whilst the back seats are thrown out. The weight is more focused to the rear, giving better distribution. Road legal tyres are used, whilst the infotainment system is kept in. The “U L S A” is designed to be the fastest car possible out of the platform. Sticky semi slick tyres are used, which are also smaller to aid weight and responsivness. The RWD manual is replaced with a AWD dual cluth, with shorter gear ratios due to the better traction it gives. A traction control system is added too. The infotainment system has been stripped, and the large areodynamics are tuned for maximum downforce. The added AWD system, dual clutch and Traction Control do mean the “U L S A” weighs more, but the differences make up for it. This allows the “U L S A” to accelerate from 0-100 in a lightning fast 2.0 seconds! Both track vairiants have a 3.6L V10 engine, with direct injection and twin turbos, producing 3.6 bar of boost. The new engine was built to lower weight, and an added turbo was put in to make up for the lost power. This gives the new engine an output of 931 hp.

u know we’re making supercars for this round right… right?

Yeah I should probably redo this one. After looking at it for awhile it does kinda look like an RX-7 or a front engined MRS.

also dont forgot about the wipers, gud luck man
the black one with wings looks more fitting, could start from there

OH SHOOT! Automation rule #999 never forget your windscreen wipers

Is there any lore with the name that could be included in advertising materials? I assume that invicta is to mean unconquerable, but is there a meaning behind Pilati? Or am I best off just sticking with the Nuovo Gladiatore theme?

On that note, did you really use the revamped S15 body (in any size or body style) for your build? At any rate, its front end looks like it came from one of those pigs in Angry Birds, especially with the base car finished in that strange shade of lime green.

Nope, there is no deeper meaning behind the Pilati name, it’s just the founder’s surname

Savage! Well, Angry Birds is Finnish, and they say “If you want to win, hire a Finn”

PILATI INVICTA CONCEPT

With it’s 660 BHP 6.2L V12 engine mated to a 9 speed transmission, the new Invicta will excel as a superfast, yet delightfully tame, Grand Tourer

Added details include an LED light surround on the vents, bonnet vents and black/chrome duo tone rims.

We have optimised the driving experience to be both intuitve and comfortable, with Active suspension and adaptive dampers, whilst the Stability Control, super fast shifting 9-speed transmission and electronic LSD give supreme traction like no other 2 wheel drive supercar.

That’s a welcome improvement on your first draft for an entry. Granted, it’s unlikely to even reach the final round of judging, but at least it’s more realistically engineered, and the 2005 C7 Stingray body (especially with a ~2.8m wheelbase) is a more period-accurate basis for your build given the premise of this round, especially when compared to the one you used for your very first attempt (I still think it’s the 1985 S15 body with a 2.5m wheelbase).

I wasn’t sure what the (inclusive) on the 2.5-2.7m wheelbase meant, so I presumed since it’s 2.76m that it would be included. I wanted to use a different body than everyone else, and I also wanted a long bonnet and a slight boot to it. I’m gonna see how it test drives at the Norschlife just out of curiosity now

I’m just putting the finishing touches on my entry. I just came across this comp a few days ago (I tend to take extended leaves of absence from the forums) I’ll try to get it sent over and posted today.

This is what we, in the industry, call an obscene amount of power.

“Perfectly balanced, as all things should be.”

“Power is nothing without control.”

I tried quite diligently to maintain as many of the originals’ design cues in tact so as to maintain the family resemblance - trying hard not to deviate from its lineage. The twin-turbo V12 needed to make a statement, a thousand-horse stampede won’t go unnoticed.
