Top Gear Challenge (Active again) (Round 1 Ended)

Well I don’t think my land cruiseship would be good for racing either… not because it doesn’t have enough power… but because it might run out of fuel before finishing a lap.

If it’s anything like mine it’ll probably have a fuel tank big enough to rival an oil tanker.

Nope, only has a fuel tank of a large cruise ship.

hey. at least boqliq submitted a very dark blue on my turn. so that was my first time seeing a non-blaring-blue boqliq.

and my van… 4L V8 in 1998.
might just as well strip out the interior and race it against this

NEWS FLASH Bogliq demo’s a car in white!!! :scream:

Just kidding!!! I learnt from my Koolkei entry; always bet on BLUE!!!

When someone buy a spacius car for the family, plan to go to some trips with childs and wife. You know the joy of a family trip… aaaaah, i can hear the sounds in my head…birds chirping, wind rustling, child screaming, wife complaining about something… WAIT, where’s the V8 sound? i must hear the V8, i buyed a V8 to hear it.
Your next challenge is to mesure the loudness of your car… and remember… more is better: you do not want your children cover the roar of the engine with their screams

20 points to the loudest one, 18, 16, 14, 13…
(number between braces is the d20 result)

F Wagon Traveller (2) 22,8dB

This micro turbines stop everything

###Bell Lexarion V8DHe (3) 24,3dB
(1 point)

It’s on?

###Erin Berlose Lex+ 2.6 (1) 28,6dB
(2 points)

Ok, long story short, college student → prank → banana in the exaust

###FSO Hussar V8 Combi (14) 29dB
(3 points)

This type of cars was designed to be confortable, not to mask the childs screaming

###Adenine Valence Sport V8 (11) 29,7dB
(4 points)

Ok, the comfort, but a little bit of engine sound….

El Govnor LX (1) 30,8dB

(5points)

To fit the hydraulic susp. on this car, they have modified the exaust, this is the result.

Mive F1 (4) 31,6dB

(6 points)

How should I tell you? It’s a VAAAAANNNN

###Storm Star GX (8) 34dB
(7 points)

Nothing to see here, go away

###H.A. 455 E (19) 38,4dB
(8 points)

Some say this car is quiet to easly hide from police

###Galt Automotive Kyaria SP1 (3) 40,9dB
(9 points)

It’s a van, what are you expecting from it?

###Ilzen Ildor V8 (17) 43,9dB
(10 points)

This thing is quite good, quiet on cruise, but if you downshift, it became a monster

###ECV Rune FT (20) 44,7dB
(11 points)

The insulating panels are falling apart, i can hear all the engine noises

###Boligq Fox GT300 (1) 45,8dB
(12 points)

Something strange in this car, probably it don’t aged very well, i think it dosn’t sound like it should

###AEM Superbia (11) 45,9dB
(13 points)

That turbines are whistling like a beast

###Routemaster Tourer Refitted (11) 46,2dB
(14 points)

An epic sound, no rattling, no rumbling, a pure and smooth flatplane sound

###eotoskey Romero SE (9) 49,8dB
(16 points)

Pretty low-revving engine, this low frequency penetrates everywhere

###ANZ Motors Buzzsaw 2.8v8 (12) 59dB
(18 points)

With an almost straight thru exaust this thing is one of the loudest car ever produced

###Roadship 547 LE (2) 85,4dB
(20 points)

I CAN’T HEAR MYSELF, THIS THING IS AWFULLY LOUD

Ok, now we know what’s the loudest car of the lot, but we haven’t finish yet, a producers has left me this envelope and some toys…

EDIT. in first place somethingwent wrong in mail merge function, i’ve corrected now the names of the cars

She’s not a van.

Now, you see, I think that’s a sign it’s aged well. The exhaust is still quiet, so you don’t wake the screaming noise-machine in the child seat in the back. Plus, if you really, really wanted to, a hacksaw works well enough to let the noise out.

Now, on the flip-side, I suppose that’s what happens when you preserve a car in an elevator shaft for almost 30 years.

Somethig went horribly wrong during export (i made an excel table and then export with word) but all the names of the cars are wrong
It’s a test round. I promise next round i can do better. Sorry.

For my first entrance in a competition i am happy with my 10 point and a good description
on towards the next challenge

No love for the Valence’s 8800RPM redline? :stuck_out_tongue:

Yay! 2 points! I think I was aiming far more for a quiet everyday engine…or am I just making excuses?

with me, i usually like to think that 50 is the maximum loudness allowed for new vehicles to be registered, so as such i try to cap it at just 50

I really wanted to put a bypass valve on, maybe I should have

Speaking of family trip, when you go out with the family you need to carry a ton of things, strolleys, toys, food, etc.
A good family car needs to let you load a lot of things. your challeenge is to put in the trunk as many toys and family equipment as you can.

###Bogliq Fox GT300 (7) 142L

0 points

I can’t even find a trunk. I can fit a teddy bear in the glove box but that’s it.

###Galt Automotive Kyaria SP1 (10) 345L

6 points (5 points for extra seating)

With the third row of seat the space in the boot is pretty small

Mive F1 (5) 391L

7 points (5 points for extra seating)

Same thing here, you can stuff so many babies but you can put any toy in there.

F Wagon Traveller (14) 427L

8 points (5 points for extra seating)

This third row was a pain in the ass, and i can’t find my crane to put my stroller in

###AEM Superbia (6) 455L

9 points (5 points for extra seating)

Big in the exterior, small in the esterior, the rigid structure needed to avoid the engine to broke everything take up quite a bit of space

###ECV Rune FT (4) 471L

5 points

In the old times puncture is a serius problem, now the second spare tire occupaise the entire trunk

###Storm Star GX (18) 493L

6 points

The advanced position of the mechanical apparatuses make some serius space in there

###Routemaster Tourer Refitted (3) 528L

7 points

The workshop who have refitted this car have used the space in the back for a battery…it’s a shame

###Adenine Valence Sport V8 (15) 535L

8 points

Good, pretty spacius

###ANZ Motors Buzzsaw 2.8v8 (19) 543L

9 points

The thin wheels made possible to make small wheel arches, it’s a good trunk

###Erin Berlose Lex+ 2.6 (14) 549L

10 points

2 Strolley, 13 pelushes and 18 plastic toys, is not bad

###Bell Lexarion V8DHe (6) 647L

11 points

Pretty big outside and inside

###Peotoskey Romero SE (17) 955L

12 points

Ok, this trunk it’s an helipad outside and an hangar inside

El Govnor LX (16) 979L

13 points

You need space for all the money Hip Hop music singer made.

###FSO Hussar V8 Combi (10) 995L

14 points

I really can’t tell how, it’s like narnia closet.

###H.A. 455 E (14) 1006L

###Izen Ildor V8 (4) 1423L

18 points

The wagon body never betray

###Roadship 547 LE (7) 2106L

20 points

For now the Roadship is at the top of the table with 2 wins and 40 points, but many other challenges needs to come, stay tuned.

it’s a van… how did i not paid attention to the cargo space. #facepalm

Not bad for a convertible, I’d say.

well hey, when i built mine i just roleplayed that it’d be similar to my grandfather’s minivan where the seats could just be unlatched and rolled out the back in a mere minute, i probably shoulda stated that somewhere  oh well, guess that’s what i get for just using a car i already had laying around

I’m not doing too bad with the Soviet boat. I just had it laying around as well and figured I’d submit that for something different. Can definitely fit several political dissidents in the trunk :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I know it’s not so realistic, a van IRL have much more cargo space than a sedan, but i need to base my classification on some data, i can not invent averything, i have to base the data on something, i give all the cars with the third row of seat 5 extra points but i can’t fix this Automation “bug”.
