Yeah, but that is not a commonly used thing - not enough to appear in Automation. It would be fun, but sorry, there are more important things to add. Like compressors and new turbo configurations. And devs have limited possibilities and time.

yeah, I was trying to make a trabant-esque car in the lite campaign, but limited production.
now imagine a supercar with plastic panels. when you drive so fast the plastic falls off

There was a Canadian steam-powered car using artificial leather bodywork in the late 20s.
