Does Automation count?
This game too hours of my life away
World Racing 2 was an awesome game too
Mine is a bit different

Want asetto corsa, need wheel, need better pc. Basically need more moni
I just re finished prostreet again last weekl
Just reminded that it’s difficulty level is very weird in that game. Goes from child’s play to God is driving the car in the 1st place even when you dont change the setting. Especially in grip races. In speed challenge. It’s a hell’s trial
Can anybody tell me the new of the game in which you can actually design and morph your own Super cars? It was a PS2 game I think. The driving was a bit shit but I just want to design stupid looking supercars that was in fact the game I was looking for when I stumbled across Automation actually!
First link while search for “ps2 super car game”
I can’t believe I simply didn’t use those search terms on the plus side faffing around for literally one week trying to find the game did lead me to discover Automation so I can hardly complain!
Heyy, I remember Prostreet! I liked it a lot. I’ve personally finished it 2 3/4 times + another 3/4 times (does that technically make that 3 1/2?) I liked the car customization in it, loved the decal editor. I actually remade the M3 mentioned in the first post in Prostreet one time!
Jesus Christ take a perfectly good car and ruin it with those liveries
SHOTS FIRED
Love it or hate it bby
Prostreet’s livery editor never quite worked properly on the PS2…
Shame, as I do like some aspects (and hate others.) It might be because I only ever played the PS2 version, because I really don’t like prostreet.
Yeah, it was quite laggy on PS2. On X360, not as laggy. There still was some lag, but a lot of it was gone, making the livery designing more fun.
I was pretty happy with the livery editor on NFS Shift, even though the decals artefacted horribly on scaling up! It was really buggy in shift 2, sadly.
I’ve got an another game up in my sleeve…
Mad Max (2015)
A surprisingly good tie-in. You make a ride for yourself, see it evolve, explode everything that isn’t you and beat up lot of guys.
Fun times.
The car you see in the pictures is mine. Mine. No-one will take it away from me. I saw it evolve, almost explode, mow over bad guys and bask in glory.
Oh and Max? Yeah, he beat up and shot a lot of guys.
The map is “just a big desert”, but it’s quite beautiful and there’s enough variation between different locations so it does look different in places.
The car combat is fun and so is the driving. It also feels good to punch someone in the face with a huge wrench.
The melee combat is borrowed from Batman games, so if you have played those, you know how to… well, punch people.
One of my favorite games released in the recent years.
Scratch that, I tried it again and looks like I forgot that the wheel doesn’t quite work. It recognizes it correctly in the control options menu, I can assign all the buttons and wheel rotation and all, except for the pedals. I’ve tried it with combined pedals on and off. By default the throttle and brake are assigned to “combined pedals” in the game’s options but they do nothing. Then if I try to reassign them, it just doesn’t take it. The weirdest part in that is, that I can assign the accelerator, brake and clutch pedals to the steering axis. Clicked on steering to assign it, pressed the pedal down and pressed enter and it took it. Just not for the actual accelerator or brake controls.
Oh well, I used to play it with a keyboard as a kid anyway so I guess it’s more nostalgic this way.
did someone say Prostreet??
Also there is a game called FUEL which is a post-apocalyptic arcade open world racing game the game is quite old but it is good for the year it is made(2009) also link for wiki for more info here → Fuel (video game) - Wikipedia
Split/Second
Have you ever heard of Split/Second? If you haven’t, then that’s fine.
But if you’re, say, a Micheal Bay and racing game fan, you are crazy for not picking this up.
This thing is called Split/Second: Velocity if you live in Europe, but the premise is the same: You are a driver competing on a reality TV show called Split/Second (go figure), where you are essentially driving cars from fictional companies in the game around a city (or dockyard, or airport, or canyon, or graveyard for airplanes) “rigged to blow.”
I’ll let this guy on YouTube show you what kind of chaos and madness you can cause in this game:
If you saw the video, it’s basically an arcade-style racing game in the backdrop of a Micheal Bay film.
In addition to the normal races, there’s Eliminator, (betcha can’t guess what that’s all about) and some other stuff that revolves around avoiding stuff from a truck or helicopter.
It was released in 2010 for the Xbox 360 and PS3 and PC. If you heard of OnLive, and you had it before it shut down, they actually had the game on their service. Speaking of shutdowns, the guys who made this were working on a sequel, but sadly, Disney made a reduction to their workforce and basically killed them off.
But yeah, if you have a moment or two, i’d recommend getting this thing, it’s just amazing. One of the games i proudly store on my shelf knowing that i own one of the best arcade racers in the world.
EDIT: I bear good news! If you have the Playstation Now service, the game is actually on there in the Disney section! So, you can basically play Split/Second on the PS4 now.
Now all they need is Midnight Club, (Any of the games, preferably L.A) Driver: SF, and the original GRID. (They already have GRID 2 and GRID Autosport)
Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3 is still one of my favs, still play it on my PS2 emulator every now and then.
Gran Turismo 4. Oh how much time iv spent with my friends on 24h races…
