North American International Auto Show 2019

Yo, what’s good automotive consumers and enthusiasts of the world. It’s yaboi Nicholas Justinian, here at the North American International Auto Show 2019, bringing you the TL;DR of all the best automotive news! With one week before the opening of the show, let’s see what all the latest manufacturers have to offer!

Here Comes The Mirror Man., says Corsica automotive, with a very vague teaser of a muscle car looking thing called the cheetah. I don’t know who the mirror man is but perhaps he’ll show this car a reflection of itself? Or us?

Ursula AG is apparently unveiling their first full sized luxury car. They claim it’s going to change history. But really? A full sized luxury sedan in 2019 is going to change history? With everybody shopping for SUVs these days, seems to me like it’s only going to BE history… but maybe i’ll be wrong.

Edit: In the interest of accurate journalism, Ursula insists I omit the fact that it’s not the first luxury sedan they made… but instead the first luxury sedan they’ve… uh… made. Thank you for that oh so important distinction.

The IREV Is something coming from AL autos… Can’t say too much about it as of yet. Maybe it will have good range, maybe not. Be premium? I don’t know. What I do know is that it has MASSIVE hypnotic headlights. Dear god, this thing is staring into my soul.

Huangdou is showing a new CC, and they’re apparently quite Buddhist because there’s something there about rebirth. Let’s hope this one is reborn as a swan and not as a donkey, hm?

Harada apparently has a whole new fleet to show, with a sports car, a crossover, and a pickup. The latter two are what Americans are really buying, and the crossover appears to have even been done by Luceat studious. You can tell because it looks far better than the other two. Edit: I’ve been told the sports car is actually the one done up by luceat. Shocker. I still think the crossover is the best looking one.

Dotara is showing us a “fighter”… cool. What’s it fighting exactly? What is it? Is it even a car? I can barely tell and there’s not enough info for me to care.

Evengis is unveiling another crossover… rest assured it will be boring as hell and plenty of people will buy it. You can stop by their stand or take a nap in Harrod’s to get the same experience.

We can’t wait to show you what we’ve been doing, AL autos says with some vague looking sedan thing. It’s frowning, it has hypnotizing triangle headlights the camera angle they’ve chosen to show it with is just terrible.

Shromet is unveiling a crossover as well… “The sports car for five” they claim. God, what a disgusting spew of marketing cack. It’s not a sports car and anybody who buys into their marketing campaign is an idiot.

Hokuto heavy inudstries says something big is coming. Well, anything looks big when you zoom into it that close. But I don’t know what it is other than that it’s red. It might be a toy. I don’t know.

Apparently Gabatron is unveiling a whole city? or more than likely it will just be some pretentious idealistic post apocalyptic village where everybody eats vegan cake and plants trees to promote some little electric scooter. God is that pretentious. Maybe make something that works in the real world.

Retronix is showing a terribly sad looking sedan. I hope it’s fast enough that I won’t have to look at it for very long… I mean, look at it! It just looks so sad!

Well, with one week to go, I’m sure there will be plenty more to show before the opening on the 14th. Maybe even a few good presentations? Being optimistic. But you can be sure to check in for Motornation for coverage! And be sure to check Our Page for an upcoming review, staring yours truly!

It’s the sports car (good looking one) that’s been done by Luceat

Edit: Thanks for the compliment!

No, this isn’t the first F-segment car Ursula released. Although the original is cancelled to production due to the economic depression happening in 2008.
To be exact, this is the first production full-size luxury car Ursula made.

Ursula AG Official Press Event @ NAIAS 2019

DETROIT - Ursula AG has officially held it’s first press event today, and officially announced the all-new Ursula F7 F-segment sedan. The F7 is Ursula’s first production full-size luxury sedan, and the first new sedan since 1980. With an all-new design, the most advanced engines, the latest technology and the best-in-class interior, the F7 will change your mind about luxury sedans, and will be changing history once and for all. The car will be starting production this fall, and sales (in Europe, North America, Australia, Japan, China) will commence this winter.

Highlights:

The Ursula F7 full-size luxury sedan. Perfection achieved.

Press Release

With more than 10 years of research, development, and testing, Ursula finally released the all new F7, Ursula’s first production F-segment sedan ever. The F7 utilizes Ursula’s best technology, safety, luxury and driving dynamics, giving Ursula’s qualities to the driver and the passenger at the same time.

Key features

The F7 utilizes Ursula’s “Fluent” design language, and the design language redefines the car itself. It’s fluid lines, stylized front and rear, and a new look defines Ursula’s next generation of motoring.

Built with the advanced Ursula Advanced Modular Platform (UAMP), the F7’s light AHS steel chassis is paired with aluminum, Kevlar and carbon fiber parts to make the car 30% rigid compared to it’s competitors.

The F7 is available in 3 powerful, highly-efficient petrol engines, a 3.5L V6 turbo, a 4.5L V8 turbo, or the all-new 5.5L V10 turbo, which is specially designed for the F7. Petrol is not your kind? The F7 eMotion is available with an 85 kWh dual electric motor, and it has an EPA-certified 430 km range. Want the power of both petrol and electric? The F7 650Te is powered by the same 3.5L V6 found on the 600T, but adds an electric motor to generate the front wheels, giving a 40 km range and a total output of 400 hp/690 Nm.

With the Ursula WaveDrive active comfort suspension, driving can’t be the same anymore. The WaveDrive suspension is specially tuned for the best driving experience, making your daily drive to a whole new level of comfort, safety and performance.

Ursula’s Smart Drive Assist, the evolution of Auto Drive Assist, is the world’s most advanced automated driving system ever. This technology can let the F7 use the world’s first level 4 automation system, which lets the car automatically react to most roads. (Coming in 2020, optional)

The interior is specially tuned for comfort in mind. Experience the best with high-end leather seats, touch display HUD with 4K display panels, perfume-scented air conditioner, 28-speaker high-definition speakers, 48-volt electrical system, panorama roof and for the first time in an Ursula, Ursula Guide voice assistant that can help you find destinations, change radio stations, make reminders and entertain in-car, all by speaking to it.

Also first in class, you won’t need a key (we still give you one because we still care about you), as the F7 now equips with Phone Connect Plus, you just use your phone (with NFC supported), and the car will automatically start. Scared of your car being stolen because of this? Don’t worry, the car has an unique lock code, so only you can access the car, without any worries.

Safety is always our priority. The F7 comes with DriveSafe Plus technology, allows the car to automatically tune the car in any conditions for maximum safety. Also for the first time, the F7 now has optional external airbags (standard for the 800T model), that means in an event of an crash, the external airbags provide a layer of safety for the occupants in-car.

The F7 is only be produced in Ursula’s most advanced factory, located in Bremen, the home of Ursula. All cars is built to precision, and carfeully inspected to ensure the cars have exceeded Ursula’s high quality standards. Human workers are also used alongside robots, to achieve the build quality Ursula have attained.

Specs (Currently released models)
  • F7 800T - 5.5 V10 T (524 hp/827 Nm)
  • F7 700T - 4.5 V8 T (450 hp/719 Nm)
  • F7 650Te - 3.5 V6 T + 20 kWh electric motor (400 hp/690 Nm)
  • F7 600T - 3.5 V6 T (343 hp/527 Nm)
  • F7 eMotion - 85 kWh dual electric motor (430 km EPA range)

The car will be shown to public from January 16th to January 27th. Post-show coverage will be commenced at that time.
The next press release will cover some other new car releases and information, and will be held in 12th Jan at 9 AM EST.

5 days until North American Auto Show opens, and we have many reveals for it!

First up, we have Corsica with the Cheetah, which to me, seems to be a muscle car. They said: “Here Comes The Mirror Man”, and I have no clue what they mean by that. Maybe the car looks like you when it isn’t so dark?

Next up, Ursula, with the F7, and apparently it will change my mind. About what? I don’t know, but it seems it will “change history” and “perfection achieved” …eh, I don’t think so.

AL Autos is coming out with the IREV, which has some very bold lights, with another obnoxiously dark ad, although I can make out much more than the F7’s ad. It seems to be a compact hatchback with some sporty feel. Not very impressed if I’m honest

Huangdou seems to be coming out with a very yellow car. All I know is, it has taillights, it’s called the CC, and it’s very yellow.

With a total of 4 cars, Harada is coming out with 2 sports cars, who look “oddly” similar. They don’t seem to be ashamed of showing way too much of their cars, and I think the 7 old people who buy them will not buy it in that very bold color. They are also coming out with a rather uninspiring Crossover and Truck.

With Dotara, a company I hadn’t heard of until now, we have a fighter, I am assured. It seems to be a car, and another overly dark ad. I don’t know, just seems very generic.

Evgenis is coming out with a crossover as well, although this one seems to be more interesting than Harada’s, but, has it really touched everything?

AL Autos has even more bold headlights, and, apparently “they can’t wait”. Bet they can.

Shromet has a new crossover, and although it looks nice, I’m fairly sure it’s not a sports car, unless if the 5 implies that it isn’t very sporty for the 3rd row that it might have?

Hokuto is bringing something big to the show, not sure how big exactly though, as it looks like a midsize sedan. I’m probably wrong about that, but I can’t be sure

Gabatron is coming out with a small village with 3 cars, all of which are the same. The cars are rather small, and unless if there are no more than 6 people in the village, it will be a tight fit.

Retroni, Bradford, Lagau, or all of the are coming out with a very blue, very odd looking car, Apparently it’s fast, named after a very old Ford, and looks like a spaceship design concept from 1927.

Birmingham is releasing a concept car, which seems to… be a car. It seems they have already revealed all the information about it, and I could care less about it, as it’s very much normal.

Studio di design Fiorientino is coming out with a car which seems to be the successor to another, very old car, and it now has LED. The ad is very red, and reminds me of paprika for some reason, probably the shade of the red air. Never thought I’d say that sentence.

It seems I was right about the Corsica being a muscle car, as all the previous versions also look like muscle cars. The ad is still dark, but now with a quote from Phil Oakey, and I’m not sure if change was what I required.

I’m still confused by this car, why does it have 3 reveals? Or is it 2 teasers and one reveal? My mind still hasn’t changed about it, and I’m still not sure it’s perfection.

We have an ad that isn’t super dark for once with this, and it’s very bright instead. It’s a roadster without much that I can make out, although it does seem to have a sporty feel to it.

Deer and Hunt is coming out with… a Fallow? I thought that was a truck, but it seems that’s changed. It looks like a lifted hypercar, although I may be wrong about that, as it’s yet another very dark ad.

Speaking of dark ads. Hokuto might just have the darkest ad of them all, with what seems to be a version of their large crossover, with a black C pillar.

That’s all for today, possibly more will be revealed by the 14th, which is when I’ll be at the Autshow. Can’t wait to come!

Ursula AG Official Press Event @ NAIAS 2019 (12th Jan Press Conference)

DETROIT - Ursula AG finally held it’s second press event, on 9 AM EST this morning. This press event concentrates the other cars Ursula planned to showcase on this auto show, as well as more info about Ursula’s participation for the LMP1 category in the 2020 FIA WEC. Just as usual, Ursula’s current CEO, Karl Fredrich will host this press event.

Highlights:

The Ursula F3 600GT. Mental as f**k.

Finally. Ursula’s race car for the road is back, and now comes with a massive punch. The new G3 600GT is now equipped with an all-new N/A 4.5L boxer-6 engine, now generates 580hp and a top speed of 317 km/h (with a 7-speed DCT). The new UAMP (Ursula Advanced Modular Platform) provides a better chassis stiffness and a lighter body, making it much more agile than ever. The car will be for sale in Europe and the USA this August.

The Ursula F5 design by SddF Concept Car. Out of ordinary.

Made with the collaboration between Ursula AG and famous Italian design studio Studio di design Fiorentino, the F5 SddF takes car design to an whole new limits. The concept car shows that the design potential the Ursula F5 can attain.
The F5 SddF comes with all the interior amieties Ursula can offer, a concept touchscreen panel replaces all the buttons, as a showcase of what the future of Ursula’s interior design could look like.

Ursula’s LMP1 Plan + The prototype

Ursula AG as also confirmed that they have finalized the design of the next car, and comply it with the 2020 LMP1 regulations. According to Ursula’s current CEO, the car they shown is actually a design concept, and the real car is far from being finalized and more tuning is still being made. But then, the concept previews what could be expected from Ursula’s racing department.

Alongside with the all-new F7 sedan, which was already shown in the 8th January, all cars will be shown to the public in this year’s NAIAS.

(I just wanted to choose an earlier date for my reveals and press conference because I don’t have time for that on 14th to 16th January 2019, sorry for that!)
(@asami Only the third “teaser” is actually the reveal, the first and the second ones are just teasers.)

AL Autos @ NAIAS 2019

New%20AL%20Logo%20PNG%20v4

Hello! Welcome to the AL Autos booth at NAIAS 2019 and to the newly redesigned AL Autos Irev, our fun to drive hatchback! We here at AL Autos have been trying to figure out how we can improve on this model ever since release. Now, however, with our new mission to improve the affordability of our models while maintaining the joy of driving an AL Autos car, we have reinspired ourselves to improve on the Irev. The Irev is one of our cars that was treated with the new recipe we have devised to hopefully fulfill this mission of ours! Here it is!

Welcome to the 2020 AL Autos Irev (Trim Shown: RGRS DTD)

We took a different approach with the lines at the front. Starting with the headlights, we have a new design which provide a “hypnotizing” element to the front lights. These headlights also include road tracking tech to improve nighttime road coverage. The front fascia has been massively updated ever since the previous model year with more angled lines formed by the fixtures leading to a more aggressive front end.

Onto the side where the Irev sports some new blacked out rims make this thing pop from any angle. As this is a hatchback, we’ve done our very best to maximize the space in the cabin for the passengers and for any luggage that you and your passengers bring on the journeys you bring this car on!

Onto the rear where our curved triangular taillights have been slightly improved design wise allowing for a sleeker rear end. All the lines formed by the fixtures have also been fiddled with so the rear end can seem and feel more aggressive. We’ve also fitted the Irev with sports tuned exhaust systems which just add to the sportiness of the sound and the look for this trim. This trim has also been fiddled with by our specialized tuning division, the Draconis Tuning Division, which is why you will find dragon badges near our AL Autos logo.

The engines that we have available for the Irev range from economical yet fizzy little engines to powerful sporty engines, all with something that we should have put on our models oh so very long ago, Variable Valve Lift. The use of VVL in the Irev has allowed them to achieve higher MPG ratings while also providing more power to boot.

If you would like to view individual trims. See the summary tabs bellow! Thanks for sticking around and have a wonderful day!

The AL Autos Irev isn’t the only thing that is with us here today. We have had another project in the works for a while now. Developed with the same mission statement as above: Better affordability while still being a super fun machine to drive. Presenting the newly redesigned AL Autos Quaestus, our mid-size sedan.

Welcome to the 2020 AL Autos Quaestus (Trim Shown: RGS-4D)

Starting with the front-end design, we’ve included our “hypnotizing” yet striking road-tracking headlamps to the Quaestus’ front fascia. These headlamps along with a similar grille as found on the previous model year of the Quaestus to give this car a familiar look.

Moving onto the side, we’ve incorporated another new rim design that has come about. The ones found on this trim, the RGS-4D, come with the sport models. The Quaestus does not come only as a sedan. The Quaestus’ chassis allows for us to go further with the body styles that it can offer. The Quaestus, for now, comes in 3 versions: Sedan, Coupe, and Wagon.

For the rear end, instead of the usual lights, we’ve put in a new design which complements the vehicle a little more. On the sport model, you will also find newly tuned sports exhaust system which gives this car a nice bark to pair with the bite this model has.

Track or city streets, rain or shine, winter or summer, the Quaestus will be ready to deliver a fun driving experience!

If you would like to view individual trims. See the summary tabs bellow! Thanks for sticking around and have a wonderful day!
