Swanson Motorsports Engineering (SME) proudly presents a 14 million dollar project which includes a 1/4 mile drag strip, a 1/2 mile drag strip, and a 3.85 mile road course for your testing needs. Because sometimes 12 miles is just “too much”! (I really like Green Hell, and am very impressed with the amount of time which went into it. This track took over 8 hours…couldn’t imagine quadrupling it!) This gem is nestled deep in the south, located in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. All of the SME projects are tested throroughly on these tracks, and now you can test yours here too!
Feel free to provide track times and comments/suggestions!
Still working on the graphic image but the track works very well. The driving line still requires some tweaking. 1/4-mile times do not match game times. As far as I can tell, the measurements used on this track are not the problem
EDIT: Changelog
13 April, 2014 - v.11 - Added return/slowdown lanes to dragstrip. Swanson Proving Grouds v.11.zip (309 KB)

One thing I find funny is to watch the cars come to the end of the half mile strip with no place to stop at 150 miles an hour [/quote]
Image fixes are simple. Now if you want changes to the track line…that’s gonna be a while. A tedious process this is, track making. I think it might be easier to make the line, then build a track to compliment it! Waiting almost 3 minutes at the end to see how your change effected the outcome…took…FOREVER! Going back into the middle (which will have to be done regardless) is gonna hurt. This track is the result of about 9 hours PLUS time to make the crappy image in GIMP2 (which took about 45 minutes). The line definitely got better towards the end as I learned how to manipulate the numbers better the first guess instead of the 10th. I can say…my next track will be a super speedway. hahaha

lol
hmmm…probably we would kill ourselves…so, let’s remove the brakes!! We don’t need them!
New version of the track (v.21). It is by no means completed yet, but I simplified the cornering a lot, and it now includes a 1 mile drag strip! Total length is 13000m or 8 miles. There are a good number of straights, and a few hairpin turns. Show us what you’ve got and post up some times! (drag strip currently not configured, but they are quite easy to set up. Starting point on the image is (225,450) and pixel/length is (.5/1) if you’d like to try it out yourself) Swanson TestTrack v.21.zip (294 KB)
