When in doubt, it’s hard to go wrong with a classic 1987 Bricksley Warden wagon.

This one’s seen some years of driving, the occasional minor parking lot scuff, and a bit of rust, while in the hands of a somewhat-caring owner who replaced pieces as they wore out.

Then the car made it into someone else’s hands and it quickly deteriorated. No care was made in body-matching panels. A tire was changed at the side of the road and the “Piece of shit” wheel skirt never made it back on. Several different Wardens have “donated” parts to the cause of keeping this one going. And then, the third owner becomes none other than Stig Svensson, who has had the Warden wagon for a little over three years now, dealing with the ever-deteriorating rusty American wagon. The license plate holder is barely hanging on, the plate is hanging on to the plate holder, and we’re pretty sure the bumper is ready to detach pretty-much-on-demand for comedic effect. Can it haul things? Of course it can, and much humor can be had making the “old, tired V6” drag huge piles of scrap metal home, towing boats found in the forest out to the lake, and just about anything else the show might need.

Long story short, a lot of these wagons were made. You could have a couple hero cars that look great up close, and some stunt cars for more dramatic moments.

The mismatched bumper and hood are a nice touch!

Not the only mismatches, actually, but thank you!

For the record:

Hood
Rear Bumper
Passenger Rear Door (car has chrome door handles, but this door has a plastic handle. Also has a mismatched door card, and if I remember right, a crank window when the others have power windows.)
Driver’s side wing mirror (There’s one white, and one blue)
Driver’s seat (Brown seat in a blue car? That’s not factory.)
Edit: Fuel filler cap as well. Overlooked that one at first.

Say hi to the 1974 Salon Bonus Deluxe 16!

Heavily used, some sort of a SUV/Wagon mix of a car, all of the hubcaps were lost by 1987, engine somehow still works flawlessly. Built on medieval tech but with high build quality standards of Salon :tm: this car could be yours to deal with for decades to come.

One of the cheapest cars you could buy from Salon in the mid-70s, and it’s a rugged car(not very well equipped), made on tried and tested technology (the frame and suspension is from a model that started production in 1957, you will notice it and your spine and butt will not thank you)

It certainly would fit the image of a cheapskate car owner in the 90s, and just look at all of the space in the boot!

(The image was taken with the cheapest disposable “color” camera that could be found)

1987 Otari 545 GLI 4x4

It is 1987, the Archana based Otari Motors just launched an attempt to sell their cars in Scandinavia. They think they can compete with low prices and somewhat good and reliable cars. Even if buying an Otari is seen as a bit of a gamble they have sold quite well, especially the 4x4.

The 545 4x4 is the top model from Otari, still it is a lot cheaper then a similar sized Volvo or Saab.

1977 Bazard Lyon

Last version before the facelift. Very rare, probably gonna be a classic soon. Good enough condition, these things are pretty reliable. 170,000kr, hard price take it or leave it.

(Car Backstory)

In the year 1970, Bazard participated in a design competition hosted by the Arstotzkan government to build a cheap, dependable, state-sponsored commie-car. Their entry, the “L14M” prototype (of which a full model had been constructed), was well recieved by the state, and had made it to the final rounds of their judging process.

But then, all of a sudden, the communist government of Arstotzka just sort of… collapsed; yurns out, small-country dictatorships aren’t always the most stable. And Bazard had just spent all that time and R&D on a car for a buyer that literally didn’t exist anymore.

Well, not wanting to put all that money to waste, they set about trying to release the car on their own. So they developed 2 versions of the car; the original, redubbed the “Liam,” came out in 1972 and targeted budget sectors and developing countries; wheras a scaled-up version, called the “Lyon,” was released in 1974 for the budget sectors of more developed countries.

The car recieved many upgrades over its tiny friend, including independent rear suspension, front disc brakes, a semi-clad undertray, and options such as an automatic transmission or V6 engine. But underneath, it was still very much the primitive, ladder-framed commie-box it’d been designed to be, and the pre-facelift never got much attention in developed markets; so fast-forward 20 years later, and the Lyon’s rarity, low cost, derpy face and reliable design would make it an excellent car for a television sitcom! …hopefully!

1968 Mara Ire... no, wait
1986 Mara Irena 2.0 LKET

... an easy mistake to make...

The Mara Irena dates back to the early 1960s, with occasional facelifts keeping the car competitive in its home market, and Mara happy to take any export sales they can get. The 5-door liftback (‘L’) had been introduced as a new variant in the mid-1970s to go with the times. At the same time, the 1960s vintage ‘Perspekt’ engine had received its first major technical refresh (which notably had included the addition of a harmonic dampener to make even higher displacements work) and a retune in preparation for its installation in the upcoming Kanyon SUV and Bizon ute.

The major change for the 1986 MY Irena was the addition of lap/sash belts for the two rear passengers on the outsides and the replacement of the 8-track player with a cassette player for the midrange Komfort (‘K’) and the top Komfort Extra (‘KE’) specs - ready for playing feared Kalle Blomquist cassettes (that everyone in the Svensson household has already heard too many times) on long family trips. The KE spec also includes a 3-speed slushbox automatic, a sunroof and a more shiny front grille, so Stig may have felt he actually splurged for some luxury once in his life.

In addition, this version here has the optional towing package (‘T’) which comprises a tow hook, towing mirrors and the engine tune, engine bay and brake configuration from the Irena’s popular panel van and RWD pickup versions (but none of the pickup’s other offroad gear). The latter configuration was originally designed for reliable rural and commercial operation in Archana’s hot and dry summers.

FOR SALE: 1977 Saguaro T-REE 2000 Wagon

This generation of T-REE was constructed in 1970 and its purpose was to tackle this very popular small family car market.

Car we are offering for sale here is restyled version from its first year of production, meaning its from 1977. Besides that it also has more care given to its fit and finish, since this fella also has quite a bit of equipment within it.
Im not fully informed of details, bcos boss said i quote “Why would you need the spreadsheet for that? You saw the car when it rolled here, now write!” but i recall it had sporty interior and radio.

What it also has is 2 liter inline4 making 96.6hp mated with 4 speed automatic gearbox, making this car able to move rather nicely.
Back then, its transverse FWD construction was touted as future but now its basic construction of pretty much any car of its class
Factory data indicates 174 kmph and sprint to 100 in 12.8 seconds.

Other end of car is home to roomy trunk which, according to factory is 1280 liters and car also has decent load rating of 546 kg, which is more than half of car itself.

It also had tad bit more than double the original price, costing 20200 whatever the fuck this currency is

This will take a while. Better stretch little bit and get me some beer…

aight here we go first time entering one of these

The 1982 Kamikaze Nagoya is… a car. That’s about it. It’s RWD and has an engine, and also 4 wheels. Featuring an insanely powerful 110 hp I4 it will surely be the fastest roadblock on a highway.
It also has license plates modeled after Swedish ones from the 1994-2001 era, because i can (note to host: delete the text if you wanna).
It pulls an astounding(ly bad) 9.5 l/100km (24.8 mpgUS for not the intended customers)
it goes 190 kph and can get to 100 in 10 seconds (truly a beast i know)
featuring a 5 speed manual transmission a tiny bit of wheelspin may be possible if you try hard enough
yours for 19200$

1984 WARREN WARLOCK WAGON

Leave it to Texaslav to introduce a new brand using an 80s Amerishitbox.

The Warren Warlock was Arlington Automotive’s last body-on-frame midsize car alongside its platform-mate, the Arlington Auriga. Riding on the AJM-77 platform, the Warlock took advantage of its antiquated and easy to produce underpinnings to deliver high reliability and premium surface-level technology and interior quality.

This woody wagon is a prime example of Warren’s strategy. Yes, it’s still carbureted and not very efficient. Yes, it’s no good in a side impact. Yes, it’s got all of three forward ratios. But it’s got good power, premium seating for six, and a capable Allroad Package with a limited-slip clutch-type differential and taller suspension. Hell, it even has an airbag and other safety features considered very advanced for the 1980s. All for under AM@23,000.

And for a carbureted V6 engine, the Warren’s powerplant was still deceptively burly. A “premium” product co-developed with Somervell, Arlington’s highest luxury marque, this “big block V6” features a balance shaft, a long-runner intake, and more horsepower than even some V8s during the era. And it runs on 86-octane dish soap.

And to top that all off, it’s pretty. Hell, even this slightly-worn example with missing trim pieces and a damaged roof rack still gives off that confident, nay, unshakeable vibe. It’s the car for the family that carves its own path, even when it hurts.

OK, this is closed for subs now and let’s start with our one and only instabin…

1986 Toyhatsu Tony (@Ludvig )

“Wow, I actually like this!”
“Nah, forget about it.”
“What do you mean, looks like a practical family wagon, right?”
“It was. This is too hodge-podged together.”
“Ain’t that a good thing?”
“No. Not when it for some reason has the back seat from a coupé retrofitted.”
“Oh, they only fit two people in the back, right?”
“Barely.”

Reason for bin: 2+2 seating when there was a minimum of 5 full seats.

Expect first part of judging for other cars to be up in some days, 20-ish cars will take some time after all.

Yep, no game update came to save it.
