Yet another cool wall challenge - FINAL RESULTS OUT!

Are interiors required/being scored?

No

Does this mean that RHD cars are allowed? Does Henry have any objections against RHD?

Just go ahead. I mean, I don’t even rate interiors so I don’t care much.

I would create something, but the calculator is too complicated for me.
Also, the wall does not represent cool station wagons and minivans, and what is the point of creating them if they automatically fall into the middle class or uncool?

At this moment, your wall is strongly limited in types of carcasses.

There is also a big limitation on the types of presented bodies, there are no mods, no variety.

Also, I can create a car of two - three classes, can I send multiple cars?

Sensei did this a while ago if one needs a quick check. As long as you are under the “Max price” in the column the most far to the right as your new car price in Automation, for the given model year, you’re OK.

That’s because the client doesn’t like minivans or wagons as much as other types of cars; he doesn’t consider them “cool.” However, Coolness is only one scoring area, and just because a car is cool doesn’t mean it meets his other needs (e.g. comfort, utility, offroad, etc.). You might still want to submit a not-very-cool car if you think it can make up the lost points in other areas.

That’s on purpose; the host expects you to try and figure out what the client’s tastes are by requesting additional cars to be added. If there’s anything you want to see on there, just ask.

Since the host hasn’t specifically said otherwise, It’s safe to assume only one car is allowed per person.

What kind of parts would be classified as limited? Is aluminum there or is it only for carbon and magnesium?

Everything that “Significantly reduces production effiency”.

How much does he not like minivans, can we have these on the cool wall?

Accept aboard our new vehicle – Verdana Venture DCX 102 Graham 4.0.
Key features of the auto:
Acceleration to 100 in 7.62 seconds,
weight 1674 kg.
Equipped with 4WD drive and manual differential.

Most likely this car does not pass the challenge as it was built in 2002.
The price of the new minivan is $49,000.
I’ve taken a bit of cues from the Shevrolet Chevy Van, and tried to make the interior as soft and plush as the Chevrolet Express.
A rear third row of seats is available as an option, and they can easily be removed from the rails with locks to free more space in the luggage compartment and improve rear visibility, as there are no cameras here.
Power: about 220 hp and 235 lb-ft (319 nm) at 3500 rpm.

Redline: 6200 rpm.

Yeah, the rules say it can’t be any newer than 1997. You might be able to make and submit an older model year of that same car, though.

Also, acording to the depreciation chart, the maximum cost for a 1997 car is $24,400; so you’d need to make it a bit cheaper (and/or older).

(for the most part though, I do love how it looks. :D )

Thanks for the explanation, next time if I produce anything, it will be an exquisite chrome-plated sports car like the Ferrari 250 GTO.
Although I don’t particularly like cars of this brand, because the inherent complexity of driving Ferrari makes you keep in suspense. Every turn in this car feels like all is lost. As my personal opinion, Ferrari is good at enticing the buyer to buy it, and then it turns out that on the track it requires a lot of work from the driver.
All in all the verdict is this: the Ferrari is very, very dangerous, no wonder I haven’t seen any praise about it.

P.S. By the way, can you guess, what kind of engine I have installed in my minivan?

Given the American inspiration and what appears to be a focus on sportiness, Imma guess a V8.

Added: Mitsubishi Mirage, Debonair. Ford Mk1 Transit. Lotus Elite. Peugeot 806. Renault Espace.

First guess successful, the next: carburetor, injector, and atmo or turbo?

Not to be salty, but this thread is not called “guess what Kalan engineered”…

Owners notes: Interior is slightly worn but most parts are fully functional. Might need new brake pads, Had a couple of dodgy spark plugs but they aren’t hard to replace. I’d give the alternator another 10,000 before that pops, the intake and engine block are still in immaculate condition. When indicating left the indicator is a bit stiff. Change oil once every 2,000, maybe 1,000 if you are a “spririted” driver. Fun to slide around on tarmac and smooth gravel but don’t try on anything too rough (according to a “friend”, I can neither confirm nor deny that I’ve had any experience over the speed limit). Anything above 90 (kmh) you should blip the throttle on downshift. The car is on it’s second LSD, needs another one in 30,000 or so. Passenger seat needs new electric adjustment. Air conditing won’t go warm. 4 speed transmission can be difficult to know which gear you should be in but if you keep it in 2nd and 3rd for city driving and 4th for motorway you’ll definetley be fine. Very cool car. Has the European prestige, the American luxury and good ol’ Japanese reliability. Has great comprimise between performnce and luxury. Great choice for a cheap Grand Tourer.

question: I have a 1977 car that I would like to run on 95 octane, and it would make sense in universe for it to run on premium

Would it be against the rules to use the fuel tuning parameters to let it use 95?
